I grew up surrounded by an artistic environment, my grandfather was a musician, my father was an outstanding regional artist, his non-comercial work was influenced by the great master painters and other traditional art . The strong influence of my father as a traditional artist and the contradictions of living in the border awaked my curiosity and creativity to develop a particular expressions. The combination combination of real and surreal living condition of the two border cities enriched my perception of nature, color, forms, feelings, and life. Observation though life Steered me to rediscover and analyze every possible blue print of nature, , every detail in my life. The combination of a differnet emotions and perceptions throughout nature in a changing surroundings, became the main inspiration of my work. Where constructing, Adding, Reducing, and adapting are the main elements used to form my own conceptual world.
| | About art: | In my art work I formulate strong statements of life concepts Interpreted in forms and colors, applying them primarily to painting, and occasionally to other two dimensional and three dimensional media. Inspiration comes from my region daily living settings and the natural environment of the U.S southwestern border region, the social problems, the nature, the landscape, the culture, and the surreal perils of living in two worlds of divergent reality.I like to create fresh, vibrant images that capture the essence of my subjects, from portraits, and landscapes to still lifes, murals and abstracts. |
