| | About artist: | Using material as a starting point, my pictoral work is transcended by a subtle and sometimes marked texture. I express on the fabric various subjects, such as a personal interpretation of the portrait and also the symbolism of the chromatic expression. The support becomes a meeting place between the color and texture where various materials such as fabrics, wood and plaster appears. The superimposed texture creates an effect of depth and touches the sculptural limit.
My creations are first done with the feelings of touch. I explore the various avenues the material proposes to me. On the groundwork the amalgam between smooth and rough, transparency and opacity evokes a certain dilemma. The inspiration arrives then like an emerging force. I must put down on the white fabric this intense energy in order to, pictorally , translate it.
Finally, these intensif moments where the image appears clearly leads me to create in the disorder. It is while working with the matters directly on the fabric that the subject emerges. Work of art takes his place, it is a new birth and another surrender.
