| | About artist: | I live in Donetsk (Ukraine) and work in genre of decorative art called pressed flower or oshibana. From 1991 I work as a professional. From 1999 I am a member of the International Pressed Flower Art Society (IPFAS)in Japan and won prizes in all annual competitions held by it.
In 2003 I won Grand-Prix in World Pressed Flower Competition in Philadelphia (USA).I had 3 personal expositions in Donetsk and 2 in Kiev. I edited 2 work-books on oshibana which had a great success in Japan and USA. | | About art: | In my work I use plants dried under press. They are sticked to the base so as to form a floral collage. I usually apply grasses, bark, leaves,flowers etc. trying to take such materials which do not fade in time. |
