About artist:Martin Ingley was born in Somerset in 1953 and studied art at Oxford Polytechnic and Maidstone College of Art.

About art:All pieces, unless otherwise stated, are hand-carved from layers of laminated paper-board then painted with acrylic and finished with acrylic varnish.
The designs are contrasted by the more random effects of texture and colour created by working directly onto a rough surface.
