 | Age: | 40 | | Location: | mantua, oh, United States | | About artist: | My name is Pauline, I have always been artistic and all through school I took art but as I got out out of school and graduated I took my art skills and decided to used them as a hairstylist creating looks on people. Along my way on this path I made some bad choices that took me away from the gifts and talents I feel I was blessed with. After yrs of struggles I hit my lowest point in my life when I found out I had breast cancer. People always seem sad or feel bad for me when I tell them my story but first, i survived the breast cancer and second, the cancer changed my life. If I never would have got it, I wouldn't be where I am now. I took life for granted and all God has blessed me with and so now I am given another chance to live life. Though this time I decided to use my healing time to get back into my artistic side. my father who was once a window installer had collected many different windows that he had replaced. Some old leaded class some just unique and different. He new someday they would be worth something. I asked him if i could start to play around with some because i has some ideas to take these windows and make them into wall art. It's taken me over a yr to come to the point where i have found my style and it was an amazing feeling to come up with ideas all on my own. The more i keep evolving with my art the more my mind creates. This art means more to me then selling them and making money. There's a story behind my work and where it came from and so to me it is special. it reminds me of the struggles i have had and the fight i had to go through to survive cancer and I won! through it I was able to create some unique art pieces that are very different. I am new to all this as far as showing my work so i hope u enjoy and i ty for letting me share with u my work | | About art: | My art work is all done with old windows some leaded glass some just unique and different. I use a lot of the crackle look on almost all my frames of the windows using various colors. I also work with a lot of mosaic pieces mostly broken glass, some stuff i do use stained glass paint on.Each one is different and i hope to keep creating and coming up with more interesting ideas. |
