 | Age: | 49 | | Location: | Hampton, New Hampshire, United States | | About artist: | Jar was born in Bangkok, Thailand and at the age of 2 she went to live with her great grandmother in a southern town called “Ranong” province. One day a plane flew over the village and all children ran outside to see the unusual site. Jar asked her teacher where the plane was from and she was told "it's probably from the United States", Jar replied "THAT'S WHERE I WANT TO LIVE SOMEDAY".
Jar graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Marketing and started work in the world largest shipping line "Maersk Sealand". Jar's dream (so called by friends and relatives as day-dreaming), was to come to America, fall in love, have a child and pursue her love for art. After nine years of request's, Maersk relocated her to San Francisco, CA to work in Business Development. A year later she was married and now has a little girl following in her artistic footsteps and her own art studio "Red Roof Studio". Her dream did come true! | | About art: | Jar started painting over fifteen years ago in Thailand. Inspired by a magazine article, she started painting "Art on Glass". With no formal art training she became well known in Bangkok as an original talent working weekends in the downtown Mall's and nights on commission for large pieces. Her largest commission was for 500 pieces! Jar's recent works are on clothing, curtains and canvas with mixed medium in Oils, Pastels and Acrylics. Each piece is very unique and detailed. She does not copy or duplicate her designs. Some designs look like they have embedded jewels and 3D depth. They all have textured areas to bring out the details of her original art.
