About this site -
Created as an all-inclusive resource for viewing and buying originals and prints of my artwork, and to connect the viewer to my other on-line galleries. To view the directions I’m currently taking my artwork, and to recieve feedback from you, as to what you might like included on your next visit.
About me -
Born in New Orleans, Joseph Draye is a self-taught artist, who began drawing portraits at the age of 4. He has worked as a free-lance sports illustrator and portrait artist, and worked, briefly, as a police sketch artist.
He designed the logo for the Republican National convention luncheon, held in New Orleans in 1988. He also produced a series of Mardi Gras silkscreened posters in the 1980’s. He served on the board of director’s of ArtTarget, a Florida-based arts activist commitee. He owned and operated his own gallery, Phoenix in Sarasota.
He primarily works as a surrealist, and cites Paul Delveaux and Joe Coleman as his favorites. He has had numerous shows thruout the southeastern United States, and currently resides in Miami.
My mission -
To create the most exceptional imagery that I’m capable of in my lifetime. To constantly learn about my craft, and excel beyond my expectations. To inspire others to follow their dreams, minds, and any other tool at their disposal. To continue the great style of surrealism.
