About art:I just love drawing organic forms, especially if those forms are capable of emotion and narrative. My animals enjoy the attributes given to humans. In fact, they are a kind of stand-in for people and events in my life. I often deal with personal issues with my animals. Hummanah, for example, explores the idea that we shield ourselves with armor and disguises to appear more ferocious than we are. Fantasy animals are such good subjects. I am able to explore their ferocity and also their weaknesses.
