Fusion LGBT People of Color Film Festival Key Art Contest

EligibilityWe're looking for a creative individual to design the key art for Fusion 2010: The Los Angeles LGBTQ People of Color Film Festival. Submit one or two designs by December 16, 2009, to enter the competition. The top 5 designs will be publicly voted on at the outfest website. The winning design will be awarded a $150 prize and will be used on the website, printed materials, and other promotional items.

Fusion 2010 will be held March 12 & 13 at NBCUni and The Egyptian Theatre in Hollywood. Submit designs as jpeg, gif, or png files to mikaela@outfest.org.

Awards50% of all entry fees will go into a prize money pot for winning artists and 50% will be designated for show publicity. 1st place will be awarded 50% of the artists “Pot” plus a one person show at the Art Dogs Gallery, (time to be arranged) 2nd place will receive 30% of the artists ‘Pot’ and 3rd place will receive 20%. Total amount of the prize money will be determined by number of entries. Winning artists will be featured on the Guadalupe Art Dogs web site with links to their personal sites..

EligibilityWe are looking for local (SF Bay Area) emerging writers and multidisciplinary artists who wish to develop and expand their practice and skills by experimenting with new forms and taking risks in creative expression. Selected participants will participate in eight workshop sessions of three hours duration each (all workshop sessions will take place on Saturday mornings) and will have the opportunity to attend and participate in a public event at Intersection. Writers need not be published, but must demonstrate a consistent pursuit of the arts and a deep interest in participating in an experimental writing program.

EligibilityOpen to all Sculptors. Peace Arch International Park is located on the US/Canada border between Blaine, Washington and Surrey, British Columbia. The 40 acre peace park that surrounds the Peace Arch is the location of this annual outdoor sculpture exhibition.

Each year, the park’s picturesque landscape and magnificent gardens host family gatherings, picnics, weddings, and annual events of international significance.

Over 500,000 visitors tour this international historic site annually. The mission of the international fine arts program is to serve as a catalyst in the development of international fine artists, while creating a greater awareness and appreciation of the Peace Arch and the International Park. A self guided tour brochure featuring the exhibition and park history accompanies the six month long exhibit.
Awards  Juror(s)The International Artwork Selection and Award Committee, comprised of art experts, international park and association members, will review and jury submitted artwork and select the annual exhibit. The criteria for selecting the art include: quality, durability, park appropriateness, and aesthetic appeal.
